Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” The Schmidts’ desire is to encourage pastors and local churches, spur Christians towards revival, and see souls saved. They accomplish this through strong Bible preaching, children’s meetings, and music.
Raised in a Christian home, Tim realized at an early age he needed to be saved. Thus, he put his faith in Christ Jesus for salvation. At the age of fifteen, God called Tim to evangelism. After graduating from high school in California, he traveled to Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, North Carolina to be trained.
While in college, God provided many opportunities for practical ministry experience. He was active in local church ministries through pulpit supply, youth, music, and sound. A highlight of his college years was his five-week evangelism internship in Hawaii and California with Evangelist Rich Tozour and family. Most importantly, God brought Megan into his life during his senior year.
After graduating, Tim and Megan headed west to work with Pastor Dave Earnhart at Fundamental Baptist Church in Escondido, CA where they served for four years. They worked in ministries such as youth, music, and soulwinning. In 2007, God led them back to Tim’s hometown of Sacramento to further prepare under Pastor Mike Rodgers at Faith Baptist Tabernacle in North Highlands, which is currently their home base.
Each year Evangelist Tim Schmidt hosts the Two Minute Warning Men’s Meeting in November. Men throughout Northern California and beyond come to be challenged and strengthened by the music and preaching of the Word of God, to be personally revived in their lives, and to be encouraged by other men from other churches.
